Peter Ashcroft
Principal Scientist, PKS Modelling & Simulation Novartis
Peter Ashcroft, PhD, is a Modeling & Simulation scientist at Novartis Biomedical Research. His expertise is the development and application of translational PK/PD and QSP models, spanning cancer evolution, hematology kinetics, antibiotic resistance emergence, infectious disease dynamics, and drug development for multiple therapeutic modalities across disease areas. Peter completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at The University of Manchester, UK and received his PhD in Theoretical Physics in 2015. He continued as a postdoc at ETH Zürich, Switzerland, before joining the Modeling & Simulation group at Novartis Biomedical Research.
Seminars
- Developing mathematical models to mechanistically describe pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics observed in preclinical models
- Optimizing the translational approach for scaling between preclinical models and patients
- Uncovering the translational relevance and predictability of different preclinical models through a mathematical modelling approach
