Sonja Gill leads the Oncology Safety Combinations Team and Bone Marrow Target Organ Safety Strategy in the Clinical Pharmacology and Safety Sciences Department at AstraZeneca. Her team employs simple and advanced in vitro platforms, such as the Bone Marrow MPS, to investigate drug induced bone marrow toxicity risk for monotherapy drugs and combinations. This work informs early drug development, supports assessment of margin to risk for candidate drugs, and guides dosing strategies for successful clinical implementation of combinations across oncology programs.
